I am as impatient as they come. With all aspects of life, even marinades. But as I get older, I have learned good things come to those who wait and sometimes even greater food. If you are struggling with patience with anything in your life right now (that promotion you deserve, five pounds to fall off, that special someone to notice you) Whip up this incredible marinade and wait it out. When the timing is just right, it’ll all come together.
Juice of 1 orange
Juice of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 lime
2 tablespoons adobo chile sauce/salsa
1 tablespoon olive oil oil
1 tablespoon of light agave nectar
2 cloves garlic or you can use preminced
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
*marinate overnight for best results
You can marinate preboiled shrimp with this recipe or raw shrimp and create shrimp kabobs for the grill like we did! We had a dinner party and served these skewers with sweet peppers and onions and my grilled corn and slimcado salad. Confession: just as I have learned that marinades get better with time and patience, so do friendships.
This looks awesome!
yummy!
