Jalapeno Cheddar Chicken Burgers

Jalapeno Cheddar Chicken Burgers

I am a lover of all things spicy. We recently took our five year old to Disney World for her first trip and came face to face with a burger topped with deep friend jalapenos. Needless to say, I didn’t try that one! But you can bet I made it over. I’m willing to say this one taste better anyway!

Nutritional Information for burger only:
121 Calories. 1 gram of fat. 3 Carbs. 23 grams of protein. 4 WW points plus

Ingredients:
1 pound of 99% Fat Free Ground Chicken or Turkey
1 jar of Pickled Jalapenos, removed from liquid and diced (you can also add some fresh, but they tend to pack much more heat than these!)
1 cup of shredded fat free cheddar cheese
1/8 cup of diced sweet onion or green onion
1/8 cup of fresh chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon of paprika
1/4 cup of egg substitute or 2 egg whites

Mix all ingredients together, form into patties and grill, pan sear, or bake.

We served ours with a jalapeno cilantro slaw on top. One bag cole slaw mix, 1 diced fresh jalapeno, 1/8 cup of cilantro, juice of 1 lime, half a cup of fat free PLAIN greek yogurt. mix lime juice, cilantro, and greek yogurt well and toss to coast jalapeno and slaw mixture. Serve on top of burger on whole wheat low carb tortilla or sandwhich thin rounds.

  1. Made these tonight. So good!! I mixed everything but the jalopeanos and made some for my boys (3.5 and 2) first and they gobbled them up! Then added the heat for my hubby and I! I didn’t have the stuff for the slaw on hand so I just put some baby spinach on top for a little crunch! Awesome recipe thanks for sharing!
